23" cinema display

I have an Apple 23"cinema display with an older G5 (Mac Processor). When the computer is booted, the display will not work. I have to unplug the power block and reconnect it up to a dozen times before the display will appear.

So ... I bought another 23" display - thinking it was either the monitor or the power block. This does the same thing as the original When the G5 is powered-up, the monitor will not power-up.

It appears that the Mac is not recognizing either 23" display. To be clear, for years, it was fine. All of a sudden, it stopped recognizing the display. Any ideas on what gives?

Hi, is it the Plastic ADC model or the Aluminum DVI model?

Might be time to replace the PRAM Battery, 4 years is close to their lifespan, far less if ever without AC power, & can cause strange startup problems...

See which one your G5 has...
