recover purchased apps on Mac App Store.

Hello to the Apple community!!

Little technical issue, I bought several apps on the Mac App Store while I was in the United States. I lived there, in the US, had everything in my purchased apps tab but now I am back in Spain, I changed apple store, I put in my spanish address and spanish card and everything and now all my purchased apps disappear from the purchased tab in the Mac App Store.

Somehow, when I go into my purchased apps tab, I only see the app that I just very recently bought in the spanish app store , not all the ones I bought previously while I was in the USA. I'm sure that they aren't removed from the Store as some are developed by Apple such as Final Cut Pro X.

It's a little bit weird because when I go in iTunes-> iTunes store-> My account and click on purchase history I see all the ios apps I've downloaded but also the mac apps I have bought. But from there I can't do much. For instance, to re-download them, I must see them from the Mac App Store.

If ever I loose one app or change mac,I have a problem, I want to be able to re-download them.

I looked on other forums and learned about hiding and unhiding purchased apps. This didn't work at all for me.Hidden or unhidden, they are definitely not there! I tried everything.

Please help me find a solution.

Thank you very much,

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

When you switch regional/country stores your Purchases list does disappear and the MAS will no longer alert you to an update that may be available for an app. However, all is not lost. But the one caveat is that is an app that you bought in a particular store is not sold in the new store then you cannot updtae it. Apps that are available form both stores can be updated, it's just that you basically need to hear through the grapevine that there is an update for the app. Then you go through the steps of buying the app and in the final steps the MAS recognizes that you have previously bought the app and downloads it for free. Once you have done this with an app it again appears in your purchases list for the new store and you are alerted to any further updates as before. You have to go throughg this process with each app.

Thank you Dah Veed for your answer. I get it but its still at itny bit confusing in my head but its cool. For instance i bought Final cut Prox while in the US so now it doesnt appear in my purchases apps paage. When I find the app on the app store, it shows installed so I cant redownload it. I dont know if MAP still alerts me of new updates for FCPX.

I also bought Mountainlion while in the US. It does not appear on my purchases page. When I find it on the app store, It acts as if I never bought it. If I download it again, will it recognize that I bought it already and not charge me? And will it appear in my purchased page so that MAS alerts me of new updates?

thanks

Probably not.

In the final steps of buying it the MAS should realize that you bought it before and download it free. It should appear in the Purchases list after that. However, 10.8.5 will likely be the last update to Mt Lion. Any updates after this should only be security updates.
