I've been getting these in my Console every second since installing 10.8.5 yesterday. There are thousands.
I've reset the SMC twice but to no avail.
Any one else?

Are you running Fan Control, smcFanControl, iStat Menu's, iStatPro or something like that?
Looks like it also happened back in the 10.7.4 Lion update.

Hi again Andrew, I have an Update.
After some assorted testing (removing, resetting the SMC and then reinstalling) I can say for sure that the following similar Log messages that I'm getting on my Mac Mini running 10.8.5 are definitely coming from the > FanControl 1.2 Software

If your running smcFanControl and would like to uninstall it, follow the instructions for uninstalling it in the smcFanControl Installer's FAQ
and then reset the iMac's SMC.

I quit a CPU monitor on the menubar (CPU-LED) which stopped the Logs immediately.
