Q: If I continue to have a flashing amber light even after reseting, is there a next step? Is the Airport defective?

I purchased a brand new Airport/Timecapsule and am attempting to set it up. I have a DSL Modem and the cable I have attempted to use is currently linking me to the modem so I am fairly confident that it is okay. I conintue to only get to a flashing amber light. I have attempted to reset the Airport will in was plugged in and while it was not. I continue to only get a flashing amber light. Is there another diagnostic step I can take or is it possible the unit is bad?

Amber flashing means there is an issue.. it can mean anything.

The cause of the flashing will be shown in the airport utility if you click the TC and open its summary.

Or click the amber or red dot under it.. ??

The setup could be wrong.. if you plug into a dsl modem router the TC should be in bridge mode.. is it??
