Dear Ron Simms,

Your Apple ID, r_simms@fastmail.com.au, was just used to download Songmania from the App Store on a computer or device that had not previously been associated with that Apple ID.

This download was initiated from China.

If you initiated this download, you can disregard this email. It was only sent to alert you in case you did not initiate the download yourself.

If you did not initiate this download, we recommend that you go toiforgot.apple.com to change your password, then see Apple ID: Tips for protecting the security of your account for further assistance.

Regards,

Apple

I immediately navigated to Apple ID and changed my password but cannot find any place where my credit card details are stored. Nor can I find where I might be able to obtain help in this matter. Can someone please provide me with guidance as to what to do next?

Thank you.

Hi,

I have had the same thing happen to me aswell in the last week. I can't remember even the last time I used iTunes or when I logged into my account, it's not even on my PC.

First email was to state my password had changed on my account, then the second one to say my credit card details had changed ? I don't think I even had a credit card linked to my Apple account. Then the third email to say there had been a free app purchase from China.

All the links in the emails are legitimate Apple URL's, what the **** is the point of hijacking someones account if you are only going to install a free app ?
