Book status stuck on "imported" for a week?

I sent my book to Apple 7 days ago using iTunes Producer and the status is still listed as "imported", which is the same as the original status. I can't find any documentation explaining the different statuses or what they mean, and I haven't gotten any confirmation emails or anything from Apple indicating that my book was received and being processed. Is it expected and correct behavior for the status to be displayed as "imported" for this long, or am I missing a step?
