Removing Icons From App Menu

Hello! So I tried to google this and troubleshoot it myself, and I couldn't hash it out myself. So when you look at the app menu on the Macbook, the one you pull up with the pad or with the F4 key, I have several shortcuts and icons there that I want to get rid of. IE, I have a TF2 shortcut that I don't need. But I don't have the option to wiggle and delete, or drag into trash. Where do I go to pull icons from here? Thank you. Sorry the question is so rudimentary.

are you talking about The Dock ?

or Items in Launchpad

Check and see if the Icons you want to remove are in Finder/Applications and Drag to trash from there.

Remember to back prior to deleting.
