Well, I need this function and have to use Logic Pro 9 to do it and then import the procject to Logic Pro X.?????

This makes me mad, because not all of us using Logic , plays keyboard and midi, some of us make songs with this function. And what is the use of having Loops if you cant change chords on them a easy way??? This is going backwards userfriendly. So Apple, here you gonna change the program. I want Global Tracks Chord Back.

Hi StigSkaldeboe, I agree with you at 100%!!!

Chord track is a great features that Apple can't erase... Now I'm testing other software like C...... (you can imagine what software is) that has a fantastic Chord Track with (also) a "chard assistant" to help you a find the right chord.

I LOVE Logic... but If Apple don't give me back a chord track, I'll MIGRATE to another software.

P.S. now if I add a loop there is no automatic adjustment (like old Logic 9 and new C.....) with the material I've record, with the right chord.

I had heard that If I switch to Logic ProX I can make chord progressions and chord variations such as minors and sevenths. I already discovered that Garageband is missing that most basic of features.

Now, after reading these posts, I'm getting the impression that Apple removed that feature from Logic Pro. Is that true???

If so, it would seem like Apple is pulling a cruel hoax. Imagine buying a beautiful car with all the bells and whistles, but there's a catch: it doesn't turn. Only goes in a straight line because the manufacturer did away with the steering wheel. wow!

Any suggestions for a good alternate app that has that basic feature?

Yes Gr8Dayz, it is correct. No support for Chords. This is incredible because competitors, like Cubase, add this features at highest level to help composer.

Not all... I've found big problems with loops without chord track... yes, you can use "flex" but it's not a solution for a songwriter or for a composer that wants to give a "song structure" with chords (and found "ideas").

At the end to compose with Logic Pro X takes 3-4 time more than "old" Logic Pro.

It's incredible but yesterday I had to import a simple MP3 file (44.1 khz.) to make a recording. I could not believe what I saw ... Logic Pro X makes a mistake ... the beginning of the audio file was compromised ... there were silences/empty sound placed in the first 5 seconds .

I've been working on this thing one hours, I thought I had done something wrong. So I repeated the import procedure 10 times creating new projects at all frequencies available. What had happened? Logic Pro X has a not defined bug that prevents (in this case) the correct import file. How do I know this ?Easy.I opened my beloved Pro Logic (the " old ") and the first time everything worked fine. Not only was it faster, but the file WAS PERFECT. Sound great. Conclusion . I am going to leave the O Logic Pro X. If Apple programmers do not change things I AM OBLIGED TO SPEND € 600 TO BUY A PROGRAM THAT MAKES SERIOUS THINGS SERIOUSLY... II will not give you the name of the software, but you can easily imagine it.I think we could change the name of Logic Pro X and, unfortunately, rename it with a different name : Amateur (il)Logic X...
