How do I change the language of iBook Dictionary?

I used to be able to use English - English dictionary when I used "define" on iBook. However, I am seeing English-Japanese dictionary ever since I updated my iPad2's OS to iOS 6.1. I'm using English as my iPad's language, and I don't see anything about dictionary in the settings. Any help appreciated! Thank you very much in advance.

Try setting the keyboard to English (UK) and type the word "labour" in the Notes app, then select it and choose "define".

It worked! Thank you very much! Funny thing though. It didn't work when I first typed "labor" and did define in iBook( I did restarted iBook). Then I realized you wrote "labour", so I typed labour, went back to iBook, define a random word, and it worked! Thanks a lot Tom!
