iPad Mini body is BENT?

***you read the title right, the aluminum body of my Mini seems BENT

So this morning I was cleaning up my gadgets. I lay every one of them flat on a table, and well, I noticed my Mini wasn't exactly "flat". The aluminum body seems "bent" in, like a parenthesis. It isn't really severe, the iPad actually works pretty fine. The screen and pretty much everything else acts normal. Except that the iPad's rear aluminum back is bent.

***I usually bring my iPad along to school. I put it in my backpack (without a case), probably squeezing it against my textbooks. Can this be a valid cause? Where can I get it repaired?

Yes.

Don't bother attempting to get it fixed, just use it the way it is. Many users have learned the hard way that heavy textbooks carried in a backpack can break an iPad, so consider yourself fortunate.

Don't try to straighten it either. Apple does not repair iPads, they replace them, and anyone other than Apple claiming the ability to fix it will probably only break it instead.

I've only noticed this now. There seems to be some yellow hazing on the left side, where bending is evident. I figured at first it was only adhesive glue just drying up, but I realized, hey, I've had this iPad for 4months. Is there anything else I can actually do? Does anyone suggest "bending" it back by myself? Thanks

I'm very disappointed and disgusted with Apple and my recently purchased iPad Mini. Just like several other reports, I found my iPad screen looked warped, so I take it out of the hard case it was in to find that it was bent. There was no damage or bends in the case and there has been absolutely no damage to the ipad. It was fine the night before...I left it sitting charging over night, pick it up and noticed the defect. I have had issues with the iPad getting hot from time to time... I don't know if that's related or not. However, after waiting for nearly 3hrs at their store as well as calling the support line, Apple refuses to do anything about it and insist that there had to be some sort of damage on my part. I searched the internet and have found several other post and videos describing the same issue. There is something wrong with this produc!!! I guess Apple insist that we all are liars and doesn't care much about customer care and retention. Apparently this is what happens when you get to big for your britches....customer care goes out the window. I'm a pretty loyal customer when I encounter good service and get treated like a valued customer..As much money as I've spent on Apple products in the past I'm sad to say this may be the last time I purchase anything from them.
