The menu for my apple tv is not displaying

Have you seen this problem before. I have my Apple TV plugged in to HDMI-2 of a Panasonic Viera 32 inch TV, and when I select menu on the remote for the

Apple TV the menu does not diplay on the tv screen? The indicator light on the Apple TV blinks every time you select the menu button on the remote. The

input on the TV is set for HDMI-2.

AppleTV 2, Windows 7

Welcome to the Apple Community.

Your Apple TV may have become paired with another remote. Hold the remote close to and pointed at the Apple TV, hold down the menu and Rewind buttons together for 6 seconds or until you see a broken chain icon on screen.

I realized that I would accidently lock my remote by holding down the menu and middle button. I had to look up how to unlock it.
