Photos not appearing on Apple TV
My music and movies are syncing properly to Apple TV; however my Photos are not.
I've restarted both the Apple TV and my iMac, but still no Photos on the Apple TV. The entire category Photos has disappeared.

Have you chosen any photos to share in your home sharing set up.
Under Photo Sharing Preferences I checked Share Photos from iPhoto, then "all photos albums, events and faces and also include videos.
I clicked the Sync butoon at the bottom right but nothing happens to show me it is syncing or not.
Also, the "Selected albums, Events and Faces" is dimmed, so that I can not select this as an option. Why is that?
Can I please check that you are looking in the correct place for your home sharing settings. The homesharing photo settings does not have a sync button, rather it has an apply button. Your home sharing settings are found in the file menu in iTunes.
When I uncheck the Share Photos From: iPhoto box, then the Apply button (and Revert button) do appear; however when I check the Share Photos button, the Apply button is replaced with the Sync button.
When I click the Sync button nothing happens, and my Photos still do not appear on the Apple TV.
My Apple TV model is A1378.
For some reason, I am unable to select the button "Selected albums, Events, and Faces. It is grayed out.
You may have a problem with your iPhoto database, try repairing it.
You were correct. As soon as I repaired the iPhoto database, it worked. Thank you!
Thank you for this tip. I didn't realize there was this new requirement to activate photo sharing with Apple TV. Checked it and now we're back in business. Thanks again!
