Aperture problem reporting wrong lens

I have a Canon EOS M camera. Aperture correctly reports when I use my 22mm f2 lens. However, when I use the EOS M mount 18-55 IS STM, Aperture shows me still using the 22 f2 lens. Aperture does correctly report the focal length and other lens parameters only the name of the lens is incorrect. When I use the canon software and Adobe software, the lens is correctly reported on the same image.

Other Canon EOS M users have noted the same problem correctly identifying the Canon 11-55 lens and other EOS M mount lenses.
