I have shut down and restarted my computer, updated itunes, unistalled itunes, reinstalled itunes, looked at my security working in safety mode... I have always had problems getting my ipods to sync to my Dell. Now I cannot get it to sync at all. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Do you have any Restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) set that would prevent syncing those songs?
itunes freezes while preparing to back up. i have used this computer to sync before. ive always had struggles syncing but now it wont work at all.
i ran the diagnostic and everything came up fine except it said i didnt hav a secure connection to store. i checked my internet settings and all that should be enabled are. so i really dont know what else to do.
