Sep 15, 2013 4:09 PM in response to MLaird1by Demo,★HelpfulIn what way is it not activating? Are you getting any error messages? The iPad will not see your WiFi network? Have you tried activating using iTunes? If you did, did you try disabling your firewall and antivirus software?

Sep 16, 2013 7:56 AM in response to Demoby MLaird1,Hi,
The first error message says that the server is unavailable. When I put the IPad in recovery mode, it goes all the way through the process and then says sorry we are unable to activate please try again or contact support (paraphrased)
I took it to best buy last night and they said there is nothing wrong with the Ipad, software is up to date, nothing they did worked either. So frustrating...I only did the restore because it told me I had to. Seemed to be working fine except for that. The only problem it seemed to be having was in connecting in the cellular mode.
Thanks for taking time to respond,
Madeleine

Sep 16, 2013 7:57 AM in response to MLaird1by MLaird1,Oh, and it see's my wifi network and connects with no problem. I did not try disabling my antivirus software or firewall. I will try that, if I can figure out how to do that.

Sep 16, 2013 8:14 AM in response to MLaird1by Demo,★HelpfulTake a look at this support article and see if something in here helps. You answered the one question that I was looking to see and that was the message about the activation server not being available. This kb article deals with that issue.
