Sep 15, 2013 8:01 PM in response to Skysmomby Ocean20,You do not need credit card for free apps but when you set up an ID Apple checks to see that a valid credit card is associated with it. Maybe you details are not correctly entered for your ID. go check.
CHANGING APPLE ID/EDIT ACCOUNT INFORMATION/CHANGE ITUNES COUNTRY
Tap Settings / iTunes & App Stores, then tap the Apple ID signed in. Sign out of the current Apple ID account and then sign in with another account or create a new Apple ID http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2731?viewlocale=en_US
To edit account information tap Settings / iTunes & App Stores / Apple ID: / View Apple ID
To change your iTunes Store country, sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you would like to use, tap Settings/iTunes & App Store/Apple ID/View Apple ID/Country/Region

If you have typed in your credit card before and if it's expired...that causes problem.Coz the details they have of you is no longer valid. Apple checks if your details are correct. If you want you can just delete the card associated with your apple ID.....This is how you do it: go to Settings> Select Itunes & Apps Stores> Click on your apple ID> View Apple ID> Payment Information> Select none then click Done. Hope this helps.

Sep 26, 2013 9:25 AM in response to Skysmomby Turtle_Love,Having same problem,DL apps worked fine till this morning when I got up, went to DL a free app and it when. Try to it brings me to " sign in required" and that brings me straight to the payment info, so I enter credit card info and every time it say it's declined..tried deleting it and having no credit card on file but can't.
Any suggestions??
