iPhoto slideshow rotates photos wrong by itself!

We have a funeral on Wednesday and have created a slideshow of photos from lots of different people and times in iPhoto on Macbook. When we try to view it in slideshow some photos seem rotated. We've tried manually rotating the photos (so they look 'wrong' in thumnail but 'right' in the slideshow) but it seems it's a temporary fix and next time we go back to this more photos are wrong (different ones!). How do we tell the computer once and for all which way is up for each photo? Help!

I'd try to generate the new thumbnails first, so that the thumbnails in the Browser match the orientation of the photos.

You can create new thumbnails from the Library First Aid Panel: Launch iPhoto while firmly holding down the key combination option-command ⌥⌘ and select "Rebuild Thumbnails" from the panel.

Then try again to rotate your slideshow images.
