vpn configuration error

  1. Set up VPN using VPN on Macbook Pro running Mountain Lion 10.8. Followed instructions from http://kb.liquidweb.com/how-to-mac-os-x-cisco-vpn-set-up/
  2. I don't get the grayed-out message System will prompt for password during setup.
  3. Typed in Shared Secret decoded from .pcf file
  4. Got Configuration Error: Check settings.

I've typed all passwords for the VPN I want to connect to, without the prompt. No luck.

I tried setting up this VPN a few times. Looking at my Keychain, I'm not sure if the problem is here. It looks like the setting is for IPSec Shared Secret in some setups and IPSec XAuth Password in some other settings. I've changed it to Shared Secret in the most recent setup, in Keychain, but no luck.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
