Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Over NETWORK, icons are NOT ARRANGED. Horrible!

I have many Macs connected over ethernet and/or WiFi. Every mac is the latest OS.

Imagine Mac AAA happens to have 10 or 20 items on the desktop.

On Mac BBB, I click "apple-K"m browse to Mac AAA, and connect.

I go to say users, then me, and then desktop.

Naturally, a folder appears on Apple BBB, which perfectly shows the Desktop contents of Mac AAA,

in a list.

Click Apple-2 for the list, click Apple-1 for the ICON VIEW.

So, click Apple-1

Catastrophe!

The icons ARE NOT ARRANGED. They simply appear in lines, in alphabetical order. (As if you had foolishly clicked "arrange by name.")

Generally this is infuriating and a disaster. To be clear it happens with any folder, I just used the desktop as an example.

Does anyone have the solution? Thanks in advance!
