Trackpad isn't working, will move fine but clicks/taps aren't ???

Recently, my trackpad quit working. I have no idea how to fix it? I've tried resetting the PRAM but not even that worked. The mouse will move, but the taps/clicks aren't working as they should. It will run over the top links, but I can't click them, or even open the dock, or go to the other screens.
