Copying files to network drive makes Finder unresponsive for 5-10mins

Hi There,

I'm seeing a random issue when copying files to our 10.6.8 server - the finder becomes unresponsive for a good 5mins. If I look in the log, it looks like the network drive comes back indicating that it went offline (although it didn't disappear from the Finder) - I see stuff like:

I have a new Belkin Thunderbolt Dock which is where the Ethernet connection is plugged into. I don't have the Apple USB Ethernet adapter at work anymore to test (I've also updated to 10.8.5) but is thre a way to search for the dock in the console to see if this is what is causing the issue?

Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Ben

I have the same problem! So maddening. Didn't used to have it, but one of the ports on my Belkin died and I got a replacement (under warranty, which was nice). Ever since the replacement, I have the exact same problem. Occurs randomly but almost always with large copies.
