why does the iphone have to have those useless apps that must of us dont need such as, stocks, news stand, and a few others?

Those apps barely take up a lot of space if you must know.

I do agree though that if the user doesn't wish to have them at all, there should be a way to remove them. It is OUR device, we should get to decide what we can have on our screens or not.

It is our device but the software is Apples. We just license it.

I don't disagree. However, you'd be hard pressed to find a phone that doesn't have apps on it that you'll never use. The golf game that came on several of the Android phones I have particularly irked me. I find it easier to hide apps from my sight on my iPhone. And, I've learned to accept. 🙂

Blackberry gave users the option to hide icons, particularly notable was their awful PTT (push to talk).

Just sayin... guy has a point.

You could hide them on a BB (support nightmare: "My email is gone!!!!!") but not remove them. And, I agree, it would be nice if some of the stuff wasn't there are all but, well, if that's what I have to worry about in life, I'm pretty well off!

Here is the third page of my apps, which are apps I don't use and don't need. Easy peasy.

Those Apps use barely any memory. It's the iOS that uses most of your 'missing' memory.

Just put them in all in a folder called 'Unused', and move that folder to your last Home Screen. You'll never see them again.

What do you put on pages 4-11? 😉

I just shove those I don't use into a folder on the last home page. Barely know they are there.

I was teasing LeAnn about the fact that she only has two pages of apps. I'm an app junky. I will not admit in public to the number of weather apps on my phone. I haven't had only two pages of apps on my phone since the brief period of time between when I activated it and when I put my previous phone's back up onto it.

You too? My wife says there is something wrong with me. I finally culled it down to three a couple of months ago.

Actually have far more apps on teh iPad than the phone, but overall not so many pages (3-4). I use lots of folders.

There are very few apps I find truly useful. I've got a large app download history, but I don't keep many of the apps I download. I have less than 20 apps on my iPhone and iPad.
