iCal .ics files- Calendar can not read this Calendar

In the last 4 months I have been unable to import iCal events from iCal supported links;

"Calendar can not read this calendar. No event has been added"

Past discusions talk about editing the HTML text- Please!

APPLE are you there? how about just fixing the glitch?

Is it iCloud?
