Help with itunes billing?

I can't update my apps or download any other apps. My ipod glitched and purchased things in-app and now itunes says theres a billing problem and will not let me get my apps back. I used a Vanilla card to pay for an app and now it has no money, i want to download free apps and it will not let me without telling me to update my billing info. Help please?
