Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Before this last update, I was able to drag and drop an image from Chrome, into iPhoto. For example, a meme I wanted to share on fb. Now, when I drag an image and try to drop it into iPhoto, nothing happens.
I tried creating a new library and that did nothing as well. Does this have something to do with the new update? Not super tech-savy. Thanks!

as a work around drag it to the desktop and then import (file menu ==> import) from the desktop into iPhoto

Thank you! Do you know why all of a sudden this is happening? It was super easy an convenient way to do it. I don't mind the extra step, its just a pain the butt.
Also, I can drag it from the desktop into iPhoto and it imports just fine, its just when I try to directly take it from the page I am on?? Weird.
Have you tried dragging from Chrome to the iPhoto icon in the dock? I don't use chrom and don't save photos form the web so have no experiance with this

Yes. That is exactly how I did it before. And now iPhoto won't even open when I try that. 😕
I am having the exact same problem too! It is so beyond frustrating! It was working a few days ago and now it isn't!!!!! grrr!!

Cannot drag photo from Chrome. Now i have to Quit Chrome and Go to Safari and drag. Anyone can solve this problem?
Well given that you can drag from Safari this sounds like a Chrome issue, so perhaps best to ask on a Chrome forum.
I just had this same issue. After reading a google forum, they suggested to relaunch the finder (force quit)... I relaunched finder and it fixed it.
