Buy through ATT or Apple?

My service provider is ATT, however I want to buy a new Iphone through the apple store so that I can buy Apple Care+ with it. Can I buy the applecare+ through ATT when I buy my iphone, or would it be easier to buy through the apple store? Or, can I buy through ATT and later purchase Applecare+ via the physical apple store?

You can get AppleCare Plus either at the Apple Store or Apple Support within 30 days of purchase for $99. FYI, the deductible has increased to $79, which is still pretty decent. Also, you will need to submit the device to an inspection/diagnostics to verify you still qualify for AppleCare Plus.

You can get Regular AppleCare via Apple Support ONLY within the first year for $69.
