sync status bar in iTunes?

At the bottom of iTunes there is a 'sync status bar'. Not sure of the offical name. My status bar currently shows I have the following on my phone: AUDIO, APPS, PHOTOS AND OTHER. What the heck is OTHER? "OTHER" takes up the most space. Would that be emails and how much space it takes up on my phone?? I wish I had some clue what OTHER was so I could at least decrease and/or eliminate the amount of space it takes up on my phone. But I don't even know where to start to remove some of "OTHER". Thanks.
