Will my computer take Lion

Hi, I would like to update Lightroom 4 to Lightroom 5. I just learnt my Version 10.6.8 Mac 13" 5.2, wont take the upgrade of Lightroom 5, as I need either 10.7 or 10.8 OSX. I have been quite happy with Snow Leopard and dont't really want a dramatic change or disruption to a perfectly working system. However, I thought Lion might be the go. Will my computer take either Lion or Mountain Lion? What other suggestions if I can't change? Or if I need to upgrade what to do? And any other advice about the details appreciated. Thanks

Here are my computer details

Thanks, If I install onto an external drive and decide I want to update my whole computer would I have to buy another MLion or how would I do it from the external Hard Drive, are there still bugs and problems if I do with any of the applications, for example I use Adobe Application Manager and I saw there was a question mark for apps affected?

And does This would mean I use the external Harddrive always when working? Sounds a stupid question but just clarifying all aspects.

My !TB Buffalo is my Time Machine Backup external hard drive is it ok to use for this?

Thanks again

Will my computer take Lion
