After updating, stuck on processing file

Same problem here, actually stuck on processing file. Trying to update iBooks and AroundMe. Sorry I have no answer.

I am having the same issue. I'm try to update apps ahead of IOS 7 launch and everything is stuck at processing file. Been at this a few hours trying various workarounds, but nothing is working.

I just downloaded the updated apps that didn't work in iTunes on my iPhone 4 iOS 6.1.3 and that worked fine!

Its the same for me neither do the songs purchased or the app updates seem to progress beyond processing file. Tried almost everything but stuck at the same.... please help to get out of this mess

I am having this same problem also infact it is slowing down my entire computer. While these files are processing (and I have 50 items waiting to be downloaded) everything I do cause that stupid spinning color ball. I am so frustrated I want to either smash my MacBook pro abd go back to PC or sell my MacBook Pro. I am fed up with apple products not living up to the over hyped promise.

Sorry to just say "me, too", but me, too. :-( I have three apps waiting to update bu it sticks on 'Processing file' even if I ask it to just update any one of them.

Also, while it's stuck in this state, I can't quit iTunes. The 'Quit iTunes' menu item flashes, but iTunes remains open and I have to force quit.

Turning Wi-fi off makes no difference to anything for me.

I think Apple is having a temporary server issues. I just forced quit (command + option + esc) iTunes and my MBP ran smoothly again. Just have to wait a until tomorrow and see if it's working again. Just to be on the safe side I deleted the apps that needs to be updated and try to reinstall them again tomorrow.

15 hours downloading the latest Breaking Bad episode through a crappy connection in Costa Rica and same issue. Only I re-booted, and had to download again.

It also keeps pushing an older episode download at me that I previously deleted.

Pretty annoying stuff.

Same issue here. Deleted iTunes and did a clean install, still have the same issue. Tried again and disabled AV, still get the same issue. Everything hangs on processing file. Must be an iTunes issue.

Hang in there guys. ios7 is being pushed out to millions of people in waves right now. Apple's servers are probably under heavy load. I would advise to just leave it alone, or quit iTunes and try again later. This happens everytime there is a major OS release.

Same issue here in France.

Same here in the UK. Won't finish processing, won't quit. There are a lot of people trying to update Apps to iOS7 so perhaps that's the problem, though I wasn't aware that the Processing phase required any iTunes Store connection.

Should mention that whilst this is a Mac section, I am actually using a PC and iPad 2, both of which are having this issue.
