It has showed up in my Finder before, but suddenly it is not appearing. I can't even upload or download anything to or from it if it doesn't show up in Finder. Please hep me. I'm new to the iPod, obviously. thanky u.

An iPod touch does not show up in Finder. That is how Apple has it set up.
Why do you need it to show up in Finder?
There are third-party programs like iFunBox and iExplorer that all direct access to the iPod.
I need to see it in the finder so i can load some podcasts onto it. How can i do that if i can't see it in the finder? I have cheap mp3 players that i can connect to my Mac and see in the finder and load podcasts, music etc, to and from it. This is the whole reason i bot the iPod. If i can't do that, its worthless to me.
You sync media to the iPod via iTunes.
I'm sure i must be able to see my iPod in my Mac's finder, also, so i can upload or download my photos to or from it. How else?
You import phtos from the iPod to the computer by:

You sync photos from the computer to the iPod by:

It does not show in Finder.
Thank you very much for your concern, help, and those 2 links. They look like they will address my confusion. I hope to verify that in the next day or two if i get a chance to look into them further. Until then, I remain perplexed why my iPod doesn't show up in my Finder under Devices, like my previous mp3 players always have, enabling me to do something to or from those devices. I don't see my iPod in my iTunes. But again, I'll look into your links soon. Thanks again.
