How do I turn off the Voice Over for my Mac?

When the clock struck midnight, September 18th, a VoiceOver utility box came and popped up in my face for my MacBook Pro and I would like to know how to turn it off besides just muting and hiding the text boxes because there are still little chimes that occur while typing and I want no sounds to come from this demonic application ever again!

MacBook Pro, iOS 6.1.4
