I have installed iCloud on my PC (Win 7). I have the latest FF, set as default (although I am not entirely sure if I have set that correctly).
Now, when I click on the iCloud icon in the tray, it shows
Open iCloud Control Panel
Go to iCloud.com
iClound Help
If I click on "Go to iCloud.com", iCloud.com opens in IE. I have tried, but I cannot get it to open in Firefox.
Any help would be appreciated.

I was looking into this issue as well and ran into your post.
I noticed that there is an exe called 'iCloudWeb.exe' that is opening IE. It is located on C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Internet Services
I don't know how to switch the exe to open in a different browser but hopefully someone looking at this will.

Edit: I also noticed that on the start menu, there are shortcuts to access Mail, Calendar, Contacts, etc. on the iCloud site that reference the same iCloudWeb.exe file but they have a switch to activate the different page.
Ex: "iCloudWeb.exe mail" or "iCloudWeb.exe contacts"

If it was going to force a browser on us, you'd think it would be Safari......

I think I managed to get a question in to the iCloud people, but I am not sure. If they gave me only phone numbers, I did NOT call (no time to spend time with "support" people who do not know this either).

I sure would also like to know how to open the icloud with Firefox. Will keep an eye on this thrad.
I learned today (from an Apple consultant) that iCloud for Windows is only compatible with IE and Safari.

Starts fine for me in FF, but then I just have the iCloud webpage bookmarked. I am having trouble with the faint hour lines. IE doesn't work any better.
Okay, that works, but not if you click on the iCloud menu item for the website.

Just turn off Internet Explorer, if you don't use it anyway, from Programs and Features. Icloud Control Panel Programs..ie..Find My Iphone, should open up with whatever default browser you have set.
I'm using Win 7 and I can't find a way of turninig IE off. It does not appear in "Programs and Features".
Has anyone any luck or are we stuck with IE?

Did you go to control panel, programs, programmes and feature, then Turn windows features on or off just turn off IE and it will automatically switch to whatever browser you have I have FF and it work ok for me hope this helps
