Sep 20, 2013 4:21 AM in response to Pau13_3by TrevorR,Indeed, are think there are security tokens that exist on the device for push notifications to work, during the IOS upgrade these are sometime getting lost (which i think is what is causing the error)
The idea of plugging into itunes should send the tokens down again but for me it didn't work
People seem to get this when they upgrade the IOS generally, not just IOS7, it's not a new problem (which is why apple should fix this!)

Sep 21, 2013 11:58 AM in response to JohnnyAT&Tby jgilber0,As with the others, I had this issue on my iPhone 4S after upgrading from IOS6 to IOS7. I was able to get it to work properly after backing up to iTunes, restoring to factory settings, reloading all from the backup, and then reinstalling all my apps.
In my case, the pop-up message "connect to itunes to use push notifications" was looping when I launched into the Google Voice and gmail apps. Wiping and reloading took a long time - over an hour in total - but it completely fixed the issue.
Quite annoying, and should be fixed by Apple.

Sep 22, 2013 2:12 AM in response to Carl_eoinby Paul Howard2,Followed the suggestions here for my ipad as 1. Kept getting in the push notifiacions loop, 2 iMessage and FaceTime no longer worked.
Connected to iTunes on my mac via cable. Did backup, then restore to factory settings then resorted from backup. Took maybe 45 mins, longest bit being restoring apps, data, music etc. seems to have worked! Thanks!

Sep 22, 2013 9:35 AM in response to fabin69by jgilber0,Hi Fabin -
Yes, all seems to be there. I can't speak for Whatsapp, etc; but all of my pictures, call history, messages, and other native app data are there as before I wiped and reloaded.
Good luck!

Sep 22, 2013 2:11 PM in response to fabin69by Jemessica,Wow - glad you mentioned your recordings. I was thinking about doing the restore, but have an hour-long recording I need for work that I can't seem to email to myself or get onto my computer. I guess I'll have to wait.

Sep 22, 2013 2:36 PM in response to Jemessicaby fabin69,Funny thing is - they are listed.
I can see the length of the recording, the date etc
But cannot listem to them.I always ask myself why theres no iCloud backup of the recordings.

Sep 22, 2013 10:05 PM in response to fabin69by Jemessica,I found a discussion that suggested I trim the recording by a few seconds and save as a new recording. Then I synced, and the new recording was finally in iTunes. Might work for you?
After, I erased my phone and restored from backup, and everything works now...iMessage, FaceTime and notifications.
