I've already downloaded the update in my iPhone 4S, but when I go to install I get the error that it's unavailable to update.
any ideas?

Got a bit of a traffic jam on their hands. May just take a bit of patience before things start going smoothly.

Yeah, I suppose. I couldn't even update iTunes a minute ago. Now it's working and I'm going to give it a shot with itunes.
I have the same error message. Been trying for the last hour. It downloaded but now won't install.
Had the same issue on my iPhone 5. Kept trying over and over and it just went through. Restarting now.
This was OTA btw. Not through iTunes.
Apple should have seen this coming.. how they didn't plan for it is bad business.
FYI, I had the same error but mine is working now. Just keep trying until it goes through.

For anyone with the same issue, just repeatedly try again and again, sooner or later it will work.
Worked for me to. Just had to keep hitting that install button 😉. Restarting now.
I wonder when someone will come out with a new device called Tangerine ePhone or something.. think Apple would get upset? Maybe the Tangerine ePhone would have better software launches?
Just keep trying - took me about 6 tries in UK but eventually verified it. Bit of patience required - no need to download it all again!!!
They are planned for it. but you have thousnads of ppl trying to do the same update on the same network. called traffic jam. impossible to avoid
There's only so much they can do to keep up with demand in a situation like this. This is very common for new, highly anticipated software releases. I've seen it with the likes of Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony. Apple can't buy an entire CDN and put a server hosting iOS 7 in every town...
