    I'm having trouble with iTunes Match loading to Apple TV.  I turned on iTunes Match today on my computer and my iPad but cannot see it on Apple TV.  Any suggestions? My music loaded from the cloud to my iPad so I know Match is working.  Thanks

    Thanks for the tip!  I just downloaded the "groove music" app, and it works like BUTTA!  I will never use the "music" app again!

    Wait till you see version 3.0, they currently are offering the beta through the Groove Facebook page. It is a beautiful iOS7 looking rewrite of the app.

    I was having the same issue with my new iPhone 5s.   For me it turns out the iCloud restore from my old iPhone 4s had never completed.  As soon as I went in to Settings > Storage & Backup and cancelled the hung restore everything started working.  Now the phone id downloading music and Music match is downloading.

    • Takes over an hour for the "Blue Processing bar" to complete.
    • Will do the above everytime i re-open the music app.
    • Apple you are really taking your customers for a ride. You can stick your music cloud service(s) were monkey's stick their nuts.


    My next course of action:

    • Download all my tracks from my iTunes Match account to my PC (PC's ain't dead just yet)
    • Cancel my iTunes Match Account (before my renewal update).
    • Following the advice of "mojoro3" Download the Groove App (this work nicely, although its WiFi use only.I'm sure loading tracks from my PC by the old fashioned sync method will do me just fine)
    • Download Pandora (iTunes Radio?? still don't have it in the UK. What am i paying for?)



    One of Apple's strongest points, WAS it's excellent reputation for customer care. Looking at this thread, it would appear the "care" got put to rest with Steve Jobs.


    Everything has a shelf life. Remember when Sony Walkmans were so hot? Now look at their share value.


    Apple "you have burned so very, very brightly".....time to look for other options me thinks.

    Another "course of action" would be to ditch itunes match and the music app, and instead, get the gMusic2 app and sign up for (the free) Google Music Manager.  It's similar to iTunes match, but it's free.  You get storage for 100,000 songs (not counting what you buy from the Google Play Store) and it also "matches" songs so not everything has to be uploaded.


    The gMusic2 app is very nice.  I've just started using it and enjoy it.  The author seems to constantly be improving it, and has a couple big updates in the queue, just waiting for Apple to approve them.


    It's all free (at least gMusic2 was when I got it a couple days ago) so what do you have to lose?  If Apple and iTunes isn't the center of your universe, try this.   No glitches in the syncing from Google so far (except it's unclear in gMusic2 how and when the syncing happens when you add or make changes to your library from your PC...sometimes the changes are reflected immediately, other times I'm impatient and close gMusic2 and reopen and everything is there).


    My iTunes match renewal is coming up and I'm seriously considering not renewing since this alternative from Google seems to be working nicely.

    Google Music Manager gives me the option to upload directly from my iTunes library. So as i download from my iTunes Match cloud, those tracks are uploaded to the google cloud, which then show up on the gMusic 2 app..........and yes, not only can i stream that content on my iPhone but i can also save tracks and albums to the iPhone.


    I'd say I've been loyal to the Apple brand for a good while now, but sadly it is now wavering.


    Next up. How to transfer all my purchased apps to an open source platform?

    Yes, glad you're liking gMusic2!  I don't use iTunes as my main music player on my PC's so switching to Google was an easy thing to do.  I basically only used iTunes as a conduit to keep my music in the cloud.


    As I use gMusic2 more each day, I'm finding less of a reason to pay Apple $25 for something I can get for FREE from Google (the gMusic2 app is now $2, although I got it free on free app day).

    This is something that is becoming more and more prevalent with Apple releases ! Why put all of your customers through this crap constantly , why not do the rite thing and release new programs and updates when they work properly. I almost don't understand all the excitement when Apple has a release as more often than not it just ends up being a big headache. I was considering iTunes Match but after reading thru this post and others I'm going to hold off indefinitely. It's really starting to feel like Apple has lost its direction.

    Steve Jobs wanted the Apple experience to be SIMPLE and FUN, now it's just becoming a consumer nightmare plagued by one problem after another !

    Upgraded to 7.0.4 the day it came out (Thur, 11/14/2013). So far, downloaded tracks are not going back to "in cloud" status on the six playlists I've downloaded to my iPhone.


    A few more days, hopefully things will keep working, at which point I'll download the rest of my playlists.


    So, those having issues might want to look into 7.0.4.

    Spoke too soon. 7.0.4 didn't fix any of the problems, still having downloaded tracks showing up as "in cloud".

    Thank you for the follow-up, I was about to update the phone's iOS. I am still following the lead of the iPhone Users Manual as I understood it. [link above a while ago]

    Yep. I concur "NoBo Mac"


    iTunes Match has not been working for a solid 2 months now. Thats 2 months out of a 12 month service. Even if they manage  to fix it by December, i can't help feeling a bit cynical that this is in good time for my annual subscription renewal....If memory serves well. Apple did the same thing last year.


    Don't get me wrong. None of this should reflect on the Apple staff on the front line in the stores or on phone technical support.


    Pull your socks up Apple coders!!
