Oct 25, 2013 3:31 PM in response to Kirill Gurbanovby Chris Savage,This is what worked for me. I didn't change anything, just clicked the "Update" button and suddenly my iMessages activated. Weird. Thanks for helping me with this, Kirill.

Oct 28, 2013 7:51 AM in response to Seanm85by jonahmiles7,I was having the iMessage activation failure on 7.0.3 on a 64gb 5s and this is what worked for me:
1. Turn off Wifi
2. Turn off Cellular Data
3. Turn off iMessage
4. Turn off Facetime
5. Sign out of iTunes Account in Settings - Itunes & App Store
6. Go to Reset Network Settings and Reset Them
When your iPhone reboots Cellular Data will be automatically re-enabled:
1. Turn back on Wifi and enter password for your Wifi to connect.
2. Sign back into iTunes Account in Settings
3. Turn back on Facetime...wait for it to activate.
4. Turn back on iMessage...wait for it to activate
You should be back in business!!! Thanks to everyone previously who added to the above process...

Oct 28, 2013 8:02 AM in response to themusicman995by PlayBAW,This worked for me as well but it didn't happen right away. It took about 20-30 min. Thanks!

Oct 28, 2013 10:43 AM in response to Seanm85by PilotGal99,Make sure the date/time are correct. If you've been playing Candy Crush and have changed the date/time, make sure to change it back as the device verifies against the server date/time. Should work after that...

Oct 28, 2013 12:45 PM in response to Seanm85by andreacoiro,This morning I encountered this issue on my iPhone 4 after upgrading to 7.0.3. Resetting the network settings and turning off / on iMessages worked for me (after turing it on I had to wait for a while before receiving the activation but it eventually worked).
Hope it will work for you too!

Oct 29, 2013 1:16 PM in response to gee38lby Lorrers,Hiya. No I still have the problem. I've got the right update 7.0.3 which should fix it but hasn't. Done a network reset and turned iMessage and FaceTime off and back on again. It allows me to activate both with no problems.
I try to iMessage and it progresses so far and then comes back as not delivered.

Oct 29, 2013 4:33 PM in response to Seanm85by Chatajack,Still nothing!! The email address works but the number does NOT activate. I have done everything in this chain and I mean everything but still nothing!! I have done it all!! Hopefully Apple will come out with something to. This is so frustrating!!

Oct 29, 2013 4:38 PM in response to Chatajackby gee38l,Yep feel your pain...
Absolutely nothing has worked for meThe only thing i have that will hopefully get a resolution is the log files i sent to apple engineering a week ago. I still have not had an update from them even though i receive a call everyday from a senior apple care employee to say they are still working on it.
Will post here when i get some more info

Oct 29, 2013 4:46 PM in response to gee38lby colingoree,I refuse to read through 30 pages of comments but if you have not tried this already, do so.
On the defice turn off facetime AND iMessage. Both of them. Then make sure to back up the device then RESTORE to new in iTunes> when the device turns on go through the setup assistant on the iPhone and start as a NEW device. Turn on iMessage and Facetime and wait for them to activate> Once they activate go ahead and restore your backup and turn on iMessage and Facetime and let us know if that worked.
It has worked for many of my friends that have had the same issue.

Oct 29, 2013 5:01 PM in response to Seanm85by Chatajack,Hi Colingoree,
Thank you for your message but I can confirm that this does not work either, for me and many others in this stream. I have done what you have suggested multipule time, to the point I have not loaded the phone with anything so it is quicker to factory reset. It appears to be a flaw with the phone. I am currently dealing with a senior advisor at with apple care so we will see what happens from there. Rest asured I will post the out come as clearly I am not the only one and it is definately a world wide issue. So now it is a waiting game

Oct 29, 2013 5:05 PM in response to Chatajackby gee38l,I thought it was an issue with the phone as well but i dont think thats the case because when I put in another sim card from another carrier into my 5s it activates straight away
