Nov 15, 2013 6:04 AM in response to Seanm85by Chatajack,Does anyone have any updates on this issue??? It is ridiculous that it has taken this long. I have tried EVERYTHING mentioned with in these 37 pages and more.
It is NOT a carrier issue. It is NOT isolated to one carrier or even two as there are multiple carriers and locations around the world that are having the same issue.
It is NOT isolated to one generation of iPhone / iPad etc or another as it is across the board.
It is NOT a location issue.
It is NOT a time zone issue.
What it appears it is though; the email being attached to the Apple ID works as it is registered at the time of creation, the number is not. I have tried taking the associated number out of my Apple ID and even putting it into a newly created Apple ID but even that does not work. It seems that there is a block on the registration in both iOS6 & 7 that is deregistering numbers at random thus the waiting for activation and the error notice. Some numbers did not work after the last update at 6 and nothing on iOS7 (like mine). Some worked on iOS6 but dropped when going to iOS7. Others still came back on iOS7.0.1 and then went again on .2 The fix at .3 seems to have had the opposit effect for some of those who did get phone number iMessage and FaceTime with no issue lost it when .3 came out while others came back.
It is something to do with the telephone number registration ONLY and NOT the Apple ID email and again NOT the carrier.
As a die hard Apple product user I am staying by Apple due to the product support but really this is tearing the ... out of it!!
Anyone have any new suggestions?
