My new ipad wont activate...says activation server cannot be reached...tried connecting to i tunes...still not working...any suggestions?

A lot of people are trying to update to iOS 7 right now and I suspect the activation servers are feeling it. I would keep trying or give it time.
Really no excuse for this after several previous iOS releases. Apple should have this supported better by now.
