    If you get error that download failed/ can't connect to server it is because the Apple servers are overloaded. Just wait and try again

    Firstly, If you would like to update your iPod 5g to iOS 7, you need to go to Settings, General and then Software Update. After that, you need to click on the update and give it some time to download and install.
