Sep 19, 2013 6:16 PM in response to TiAlexiusby Ozgur Tetik, okay, how about this:
unplug the device
open device manager
go to View Menu and select Show Hidden Devices
Expend Universal Serial Bus Controllers
Uninstall all APPLE related devices by right click on them one by one and select Uninstall
When I did this there were more then 20 of them. So uninstall all
Expend other device categories to see if there is any APPLE related hidden device there. If there is then uninstall them.
After all:
Untick the Show Hidden Devices from View menu
Follow my previous instruction about watching the screen and plugging the device.

Sep 19, 2013 9:57 PM in response to davidsh_seattleby Raytheon117X,Thank you so much davidsh_seattle! I wasted so much time trying to fix this before finding your instructions. Didn't think I had to specify the device itself to take the USB driver when it already appeared in my device manager under USB devices. Apple really needs to fix this.
(And they really need to fix their poor Windows support. Can't even use Windows bootcamp on my new Air because half the time the wifi adapter just stops responding after that System Update 1.0.)

Sep 20, 2013 9:32 AM in response to SheaMcCuenby chasfh,If this is happening to you, before you try any of the helpful, but long and involved, solutions here, you should try a different USB port. That worked for me. Try all of them before going to the more drastic solutions here.

Sep 22, 2013 2:14 AM in response to Ozgur Tetikby pixelperinch,Hi,
I and few of my friend upgraded to iOS 7 on OTA.
When we connected it to PC it asked to update itunes to 11.1
Once updated it does not detect my iPhone, iPad or iPod....
Tried updating the driver using davidsh's instructions over and over again.
Uninstalled all the apple softwares, removed all the files, moved itunes libraries and installed all the software afresh.
Yet!! no success.
I placed my phone onto DFU mode, itunes detected my phone. however when in normal startup it wont detect the phone.
Someone with any such issue? cause all of my friends facing the same issue....
