Tried to install iOS 7 but my itunes keeps writing that "the device isn't eligible with the current build, at the same time i cannot restore to an older iOS tried both iOS 6 and iOS 6.0.2, i have an iphone 5, please help me im completely lost

1. Has this iPhone been jailbroken?
2. Have you ever rolled back the OS on this phone?
3. Which version of iTunes are you using?
You will need ITunes 11. Then do a manual reset.....should work. Unless it is jailbroken as stated above
i have rolled it back on ios because i misunderstood that ios 7 beta only was for developers, what do i do?
i have the latest version of itunes (just updated)
You will need to put your phone in DFU mode and Restore it in iTunes on your computer to the last valid version of iOS you were using (hopefully 6.1.4). After that update it to iOS 7.
right now i am downloading the 6.1.4
i have tried with 6.0 and 6.0.2 but itunes would not let me do that with them, so there your description explained that.
If you do not put your iPhone in DFU mode and Restore it then it will not work.
I had this problem with my ipad 2 today when I tried to update to ios7.
Make sure your hosts file (/etc/hosts) does not have any lines that point gs.apple.com to a different IP.
If so, remove the lines with sudo nano /etc/hosts
can someone help me with a link to iOS 6.1.4?
There isn't one, you should have your .ipsw file on your computer, update from that.
If not, put it in DFU mode and Restore it as a new iPhone and let it load iOS 7. But I would wait until towmore when the servers aren't so slammed.
itunes gives me a message that the firmware archive isn't compatible
read deggie and umkvec posts that will resolve your issue
clear host file go to youtube for instruction if your having issue search for error 3194 .then put it on dfu mode and if ios 7 is already available on your area you have to download it but you have to clear the .ipsw file on the app data folder and try updating again make sure you got the latest itunes .. note app dat a folder can ve viewed if you unhid hidden folders on the control panel ....
