Activating my iPod

I was restoring my iPod touch 5th Generation and I keep getting this messege when I try to activate my ipod saying Your iPod touch could not be activated becasue the activation server cannot be reached. Try connecting your iPod touch to iTunes to activate it, or try agian in a couple of minutes. I have tried waiting, going on iTunes but iTunes says itunes was unable to load provider data from Sync Services. Teconnect or try agian later.

I dont know what to do and I just want to be able to get on my iPod again.
