Since downloading the latest itunes and icloud control panel the latter will not open, also microsoft outlook freezes so I can no longer access calenders, contacts etc. Is anyone else having this problem and is there a fix for it??

Im using Windows 8 as well.. And same problem. I opened OUTLOOK in safe mode and disabled the Icloud until a fix is in place, otherwise I cannot open Outlook..
I hope this gets fixed quickly. I also posted the problem on facebook, hoping someone can help.
I had the identical experience. The fix for me was to open the control panel where you uninstall a program. Look for iCloud and double click on it and select the repair option. It appears that iCloud is reinstalled during this process. Restarted the computer and everything was working again.

I continue to have the problem with my Apple ID, but when I use my wife's ID it logs right in. It just sits there at the log in screen attempting to log in. If I enter the wrong password, it comes back quickly with an error.
