Nov 14, 2013 5:36 PM in response to JohnPaulWilliamby TravelerRob,So I just cannot get this to work and I would appreciate some help.
I have an iPhone 4S, iOS 7.0.3 (latest) and Win7. I do not have iTunes on my laptop and can't for work reasons. Every time I connect my iPhone to charge it I have to deal w/ the "Trust this computer" warning screen. And every time I hit "Trust" and every time it pops up...like everyone else in this thread.
I tried the solution of downloading the drivers and updating them through Control Panel. This didn't work. What happens is when I connect the device (but before I hit trust) I have an entry in Device Manager called "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver". It says it is working properly and the driver properties are Apple v6.0.9999.65 from 12/12/12. However, as soon as I click "Trust" I get a second device entry called "Apple iPhone". The driver for this device is listed as a generic Microsoft USB driver. Every time I try to update the driver and force it to use usbaapl64 it tells me, "Windows has determined that you are using the latest driver for this device."
It will not let me use the usbaapl64 driver which is what I think I need to use.
Any help is appreciated.

Nov 19, 2013 11:21 AM in response to asdasdsaddsaby Audiophilia,That's a terrible suggestion. That will deconfigure a phone. People will lose VPN settings, WiFi, etc. Could force you into spending a long time to recustomize your phone.

Nov 21, 2013 11:03 AM in response to Audiophiliaby smeeguel,Same issue with an iPhone 5s and Win 8.1. Here's a fix that worked for me:
- Completely uninstall iTunes and all Apple services (Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Software Update, etc.)
- Re-install iTunes
- Connect your device, and Trust the computer
No changes were required on the device itself. Hope the fix works for you!

Dec 5, 2013 8:45 AM in response to JohnPaulWilliamby vox.org,If you are using a VMware product, it may be possible that when you connect the iDevice to your system via USB, it may be "connected" to one of your running VMs.
Check your VMs, connected devices are usually in a toolbar in the lower right. Right click anything that is your affected iDevice, and select "disconnect (connect to host)".
You should then see your device connect to your system.

Dec 11, 2013 11:56 AM in response to JohnPaulWilliamby fredfriday,I have used both my iPad (ios6) and iPhone (ios6) on a PC running Win7 and Ubuntu with no problem untill I "upgraded" my iPad to ios7. The iPhone (ios6) still connects to Win7 and Ubuntu with no issue. iPad connects to Win7, but will no longer connect to Ubuntu without the "Trust This Computer" message appearing on the iPad. No matter how many times you select "Trust" the window reappears again.
Same cable, only difference is ios7. This is an issue with ios7! What can Apple do to fix this problem!

Dec 12, 2013 10:57 AM in response to JohnPaulWilliamby Riles21o,So I was having this problem as well with my iPhone 5, and in addition to the trust issue, I also started having issues with phone switching between charging and not charging at times as well.
Not sure if this will address everyone's issue here, but I had a thought that maybe the connectors on the end of the lightning cable were not making perfect contact with the plug on the bottom of the phone. I turned the phone off and then used a paperclip to gently scrape the inside of the port on the bottom of the phone and noticed that there had been some pocket lint build-up. After cleaning it out with the paperclip and spraying a bit of compressed air the charging and trust issue went away (i.e. it would only require me to click "trust" once).
Like I said, may not work for everyone, but give it a go.

I you don't use OEM usb apple cable, you may experience some problem.

Jan 5, 2014 1:38 PM in response to xXxDieselxXxby iFail5,I tried everything else suggested here including the "Reset All Settings" option and nothing worked. I went into my device manager and found my iphone under "Portable Devices" and selected Apple iPhone/Properties/Driver/UpdateDriver/Search Automatically. Apparently there was an issue with the driver and that fixed it. Now when I select Trust Computer, it works and iTunes was actually able to find my iphone. Hope this helps.

Jan 16, 2014 12:05 AM in response to nst101by londonman2,Hi all,
I've had my iPhone 5s since the release date. I back-up to the cloud but every now and then I back up to my main computer which is an iMac. I have all the latest software releases including iTunes and only use Apple supplied cables.
For almost 5 months now each time I put my iPhone on charge on the iMac it asks me to 'Trust' the computer. I've read through the majority of the posts on this thread this morning... there seems no positive answer to cure the problem.
Are Apple therefore working on a solution? It must be a software problem with iOS 7 with so many people having problems and they appear to be all using the correction software in relation to the phone.
I guess we'll all just to have to keep pressing 'Trust' until Apple find a solution.

Jan 16, 2014 3:44 PM in response to Bombegranateby dbass1979,I can't believe that this issue has been out here so long, but Bombegranate's response worked perfectly!
I have an iPhone 5, and run Windows 7 on my laptop.
For those that haven't seen Bombegranate's suggestion, it was:
"What ended up working for me, was going to Uninstall/change programs in control panel. I found "Apple Mobile Device support", and tried "Repair". After going through all the prompts, my iphone finally showed up in Itunes and my phone stopped asking me if had trust issues."
