Q: After Upgrading OS X 10.8 cannot login

I Upgraded my iMac from 10.6.8 to 10.8 last night, and everything went well except after re-start my iMac it was stuck at the login page. first is the apple logo with the spin below (that's as normal) but after 20 seconds the apple logo changed to a stop logo( a circle with a slash) and spin as well, and that's it, I cannot login.... HELP Thanks....

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.

If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS.
