Q: Stuck at "Connect to iTunes" (error 4005)

Error 4005 is a "can't load package error".

Apple servers are absolutely blocked by millions of people trying to do the same as you all over the world. Just wait 24h and you'll be able to do it without a problem.

I'm having the same problem but on itunes it says it's preparing iphone for restore and then iphone recovery mode

itunes is restoring the software on this iphone.  Don't know if to unplug and turn everything off or to leave and let it run it's course.

Same problem, Tried to do the press home button and power button thing. Still didn't work.

Better not to unplug. Just leave it as it is.

OK but it looks like the phone is off.  Should I turn it on?  It's connected to Itunes

All of a sudden I heard the sound and the screen is still black but the itunes logo and the cord are showing now on the phone.

I'm going to leave it alone and wait until tomorrow.

Try the home button once. Does it come on? If not you may want to reset the phone from iTunes.

Yeah I'm on recovery mode and it's my 5th time to try restore it and the error 4005 still comes up. I guess leaving it would be the best?

That's what I would do.

Same thing happened to me, botched update, entire iPhone wiped, and now it won't restore properly. So angry and frustrated. What a massive F-up.

Any solutions yet?

My ipad is stuck in connect to itunes. Only thing i can do is power it off and on. But the screen is still there.

im confused, should i leave it plugged even though i unplugged it. my phone wont move of the connect to itunes screen euther after ive been trying all day...
