iOS 7 forgot restrictions passcode

I have updated to iOS 7. My location services have been disabled and findmyiphone is turned on but with restricted access. However I have forgotten my restrictions pass code so am unable to turn on location services. If I try and restore iphone via iTunes it tells me I have to turn off findmyiphone first. But I can't do this because I have forgotten this restriction passcode.

Totally stuck now. Seems there is no way to reset my phone.

Any ideas?

Th recovery procedure using iBackupBot worked for me. One change I had to make was I had:

<key>SBParentalControlsBlocked</key>

<false/>

<key>SBParentalControlsEnabled</key>

<true/>

To use the solution that worked for everyone else, I removed:

<key>SBParentalControlsBlocked</key>

<false/>

So happy for this post...i tried "re-remembering" my passcode 37 times until I found this post.

Hi there,

I had the same problem everyone here seems to be having. I did exactly as you instructed only now my device can't be activated. It says :"Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes. If this problem persists, contact Apple Support"

When I connect the phone to the laptop it doesn't help. iTunes says the sim is pin blocked and I have to unblock it before proceeding. I can't even get the phone far enough in the procedure to enter the pin code.

I can get hold of Apple because everything on their website is contactable through the phone.

I need help here. This is a very expensive paperweight!

You're actually simply stating your hypothesis, for which you have no evidence to support. So here's another hypothesis for you. The evidence suggests you're either:

1) A Troll

or

2) An idiot

I wouldn't normally take the troll bait, but I feel it's important for the sanity of others on this thread to highlight the "fact" (which can be consistently reproduced in experiment) that it's possible to set/reset the code using the HELPFUL plist edit method documented in this thread and then have this same code (which can be read from your own computer screen therefore unlikely to be simply forgotten) not accepted directly after a settings reset. It's not therefore too much of a quantum leap to hypothesise that something in the iOS code causes either a random or blank restrictions passcode to get set during the upgrade from iOS 6 to 7.

I can't of course verify this as I don't have access to Apple's source code, but then neither, I suspect, do you.
