How to reject an incoming phone call on iOS 7?

I just noticed there's no option to reject an incoming call on iOS7. I just installed iOS7 on my iPhone 5 and now wondering where's this feature ? 😟

Double tapping the Power button would be a solution, if...

...if there would appear Missed call on the lock screen and if I would not like Decline a LOT.

My spouse always called me and I Declined easily using iOS 6. This was because I called her immediately back, since I have free calls to her provider.

This does not happen on my iPhone 5 as well as iPhone 5S running 7.0.3

I did not update to 7.0.4. Do you know why?

Because there is even Message missing on the lock screen after updating to 7.0.4...

Apple should fix this, I will send another feedback to them.

The power button worked of course. I gave up on the whole experience and went back to the Note 3 though. I'm going to pick up an iPod Touch for some iOS musician apps that I want in my pocket.

So when you said "Nothing I've read has worked for me" you actually meant your phone worked as intended but you didn't like it. I understand now.

You should definitely use the Note 3 if it better meets your needs.

As much as I hated all the issues with my last Android phone, that kind of attitude probably isn't going to help iPhone sales. As I'm sure you're aware, Apple's "our way or the highway" attitude has been winning over Android customers (Android sales percent increasing, iPhone sales percent decreasing) despite all its flaws.

I just wonder how Apple can commit such a silly mistake...

Yes, its true that we can reject call while pressing the lock button twice. But what if I have to reject someone's call with a message. That facility is not available when the phone is locked. You can use that facility only if your phone is unlocked and someone calls you up...!!

Then there's something wrong with your phone. Reply with Message is available when the screen is locked.

It's been 3 months now and we're on version 7.0.4. Yet no fix.

Clearly Apple doesnt see this as an issue or bug. Sometimes you have the option to reject the call, most times you do not.

Posting workarounds only frustrates most people. Acknowledging the problem and users' frustrations certainly does wonders, but seemingly that's not what this forum is for. It's like: if you don't see the problem then you don't need to address. It's classic denial.

Someone posted numbers that Apple's sales are declining. I find that hard to believe. Wait until September 2014. You will see how many people will jump to the 4.5 or 4.8 inch iPhone 6...it will be many.

Why would I want to dump the call to voicemail if I am trying to reject it???? Is there a way to simply drop calls I don't want? The key is the word reject.

There is no such option on an iPhone. However you ignore a call, whether by double tapping the power button or by tapping a button on the screen, if you do not answer the phone, it will go to voicemail.

Is the option to simply make the call go away available on any phone, on any carrier?

While I agree it's confusing that the same options aren't available when the phone is both locked and unlocked, you do accomplish the same thing by silencing the phone with the "power" button and then selecting "remind me." Or double click the "power" button if it's a number you don't want a reminder for.

Uh, yes, I've pointed that procedure out to a number of people already in this thread.

Best of luck.
