Stuck in Recovery Mode

Hi!

I downloaded iOS7 via a Wi-Fi network earlier today, and I've been waiting to install it until recently. However, I was having a couple errors when I tried installing it, so I turned it off and back on again, and it started installing just fine.

However, after a while, the iPhone 4 went into recovery mode (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808) and I attempted to restore it on iTunes 11.1. The problem is that when the "iPhone Software Update" file finishes downloading, iTunes gives me the notification that my "iPhone is in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes." all over again.

I've repeated this process three times now. If anyone could give any assistance it'd be most helpful.

Thanks!

iPhone 4, iOS 7

I learn a way from article " iPhone stuck in recovery mode":

Press down the Home and Power buttons on your iPhone until it shuts off.
Connect it to your computer with the USB cable.
Press and hold down the Home button.
Hold it down until iTunes says your device is entering recovery mode.
Now you should be able to Restore using iTunes.

You can use iTunes to exit recovery mode when your iphone stuck in recovery mode...This method will get your iPhone out of recovery mode, but will restore the iPhone in the process. During the restore process, a backup will be created after everything being erased on the iPhone, then data recovery will be allowed.

Follow steps as belows:

1. First, make sure iTunes is up to date on your laptop, PC or Mac. Then, connect a USB cable to your computer, but don’t plug it into your iPad or iPhone just yet.

2. Turn off your iPhone or iPad by holding the sleep/wake button until the red bar appears: swipe to the right to shut down your device.

3. Connect the USB cable and continue to hold the home button.

4. You will see the Apple logo appear, and this will change to the recovery graphic.

5. You can now release the home button. Your iPhone or iPad is now in recovery mode, and iTunes should be displaying a message to say as much.

Hi Sunilalie- this just happened to me last week....iPhone 5 on ios7. I was updating to ios8....it froze. I did a hard reset. It was stuck in bootloop was I was able to put it into recovery mode. It is NOT jailbroken. Any idea if there is a way to get into the bootloader to pull the photos and video out? Like an idiot I forgot to back-up. I am so kicking myself....over....and over....and over....in between crying over my lost home videos. I have no idea what I was thinking. None....whatsoever! Thank you for your help.
