Any way to turn off iOS 7 navigation animations?

The zoom animations everywhere on the new iOS 7 are literally making me nauseous and giving me a headache. It's exactly how I used to get car sick if I tried to read in the car.

How do I turn them off? Do I have to revert to 6?

I tried right away to downgrade back to 6.1.3 and ended up getting an error so couldn't complete. I have been so dizzy from using my phone and iPad. I had a migraine the first day I used it and now its a constant headache. The colors are hurting my eyes, which is causing the headaches. I feel like submitting my Doctors bills to Apple for reimbursement. They should give us the option to reload 6.1.3 back to our phones.

The white on black and trying to invert colors doesn't help. Its just more strain on my eyes that causes me to be dizzy and sick. This is horrible. APPLE NEEDS TO FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY!!!!

I have been planning to buy the new iphone 5s for some time now and was very excited when I saw it in the store. However, I want to thank everyone who posted here. I am now going to try to get an older version that runs ios6, and if I can't do that, I will go back to Android. You see, I have extreme vertigo, and the thought of using a phone that might make it worse is just unacceptable. Apple, I hope you are listening and reading this post. You will lose a customer, and probably many more, who struggle with the same problem I have. I am a Mac owner and ipad owner and can't tell you how disappointed I am in Apple over this iOS 7. Please fix this problem.

I really cant believe what im reading here. . . . . Its easy enough to blame it ALL on Apple isnt it, because some of you havnt got the gut for a bit of innovation. Honestly, i have been using it since Beta1 on my Dev iPhone 5 and sick, nuasea ?? I just dont see it. To fix the problem, dont have your head looking towards the ground when looking at your iPhone. Raise the phone up a bit, so your eyes get a bit of periphiral vision, and can see other things, which will then give the eye some perspective and relativity to where the horizon/ground is and all will be fine 😀

It's sure a problem which is caused by the settings which Apple applied and all users have to agree on and live with it. I have no sickness problem when I use iOS7 but I generally don't like those animations.

On my Android Nexus 4 I can adjust or even turn off any transitions or animations (see screenshot: NovaLauncher Settings). You can do it on any other Android device of course. It's not restricted to a Nexus.

This is just one thing I like better on this device. When I use the iphone there are often things I just can't do because it is not allowed or possible. With the Nexus running Android I have to say there is simply nothing you can't do if you want to.

Yes, I heard people and press saying this but to be honest I don't miss any app on my Android device which is on the iphone. Back then it was like this that mostly new apps where first released for iOS but nowadays everything is available on Android too. Of course there are always exclusive things you won't get on Android because they are Apple stuff. But these are more exceptions than common.

But on the other hand there are apps with very special functions which you won't find in the app store because the functionality is not possible on iOS e.g. this launcher which would fix the animation problem.

The general tone of your message aside, I was indeed going to suggest something similar.

People with sickness/nausea/migraine symptoms, I'd be very interested to know if your symptoms decrease when you hold your head up straight and gaze ahead. Not because of "adding peripheral vision" but to make it less likely that you get weird illusions like you're falling for instance (zooming in effect can give an illusion of moving forward; with the head tilted down one might interpret that as falling forward ... while your other senses tell you you're not).

Very true brother! I usually use same mentality when I see pretentious people on crutches and wheel chairs whining about special needs and entrances! I just tell them that I am 38 years old, had same set of legs that they do, and have never had a problem! Just go to the gym!!! ******** just take our best parking spots! Grrrr!!

And what's up with people wearing eye glasses!!! I have had the same set of eyes as they do and never have to put any kind of pretentious devices on my face!!!

Yeah!!!

Same here.

I tried to use it in the car for teh first time today.

I was sick after barely 5 minutes and that lasted for hours.

Never had such problem with iOS 6.

If you put that on top the many nonsense design features and the endlesss bugs in iOS 7 I am starting to be very VERY disapponited by Apple.

It is just amazing that so little time after Steve Jobs, it seems that much of the common sense, attention to details in design and exigence in product stability (I mean 0 tolerance for bugs) is just gone.
